In the series "for the love of tools", here are my cutting pliers:
Don't you think they look like two birds? And I find them so photogenic that I like using them as a support to photograph jewelry. I like the contrast of their rustic texture with the polish of the silver. I received them for my birthday, in Pushkar, Rajasthan 20 years ago! They were packed in newspaper, like each of the other tools I received with great emotion that day... They were all so beautiful and authentic, and above all they symbolized my dream that came to life! They have been accompanying me since then, and they are always the same ones I work with every day. Obviously, rust is the enemy of their cutting edge, and the humid riverside climate forces me to offer them oil massages from time to time. They also regularly receive sharpening at Affûtage Japon - 匠 where Toshi manually sharpens them with incredible know-how and patience. When I'm telling you that it's indeed love that it's all about😁.
