A little history of the AYA collection...
The latest piece of this new collection inspired by vines : a bracelet that wraps around the forearm.
I realized that exactly 9 years ago this month, in the Bolivian Amazonian jungle, I came across another vine, medicine plant and master plant this one, and encountered her unique presence, both powerful and full of humor, and the wisdom of her teaching.
Coincidence? Reminiscent of the subconscious? Plant magic?
I think it was Laurent Huguelit (but I'm not sure anymore) who, taking the example of wheat and cannabis, had evoked the idea that plants would use men by making them dependent on them, to colonize the whole planet, and thus ensure their sovereignty... Cunning and manipulative little beings But why not, really?
We are beginning to recognize more and more the astonishing intelligence and sensitivity of the plant kingdom, and its incredible strategies to survive, reproduce and communicate.
All the things that the people of the forest have never forgotten.
The Spirit of the Mother Plant came back to me in this precise time and space, and in these strange times we're living in, give me strength and hope by reminding me the fabulous resilience of life, and the richness of the interconnection between species, the mysteries of which we are barely on the verge of discovering, even though we are rapidly heading towards global extinction.
Fortunately, everywhere, gardener-poets and committed communities are rising up, taking care of the living, and opening cross-roads that are much more joyful and fertile than the standardized highway we are expected to take...
I am lucky to be surrounded by many of these courageous and visionary consciences, they are precious and light the way !
I think this collection has finally found its little stage name, AYA, tribute and gratitude 💚
All the collection is visible here.
